Austin Kirk put the Vitour P1+ in 305/30/19 to the test at the SCCA Vegas Shootout—a two-day event combining autocross and time trial competition. Here's what he found after a full weekend of pushing the P1+ on his 2017 Camaro SS 1LE.
Setup: 305/30/19 tires mounted on 19x11 front and 19x12 rear wheels, on a 2017 Camaro SS 1LE with two drivers running across both days. Morning temps started in the low 50s.
Day 1 – Autocross: The P1+ touched pavement for the first time at this event. First runs on cold tires showed some wheel spin, but the grip came in quickly—by the third run, the tires felt fully online and remained consistent. In the afternoon, with higher temps and a proper heat cycle, grip was immediate and confidence was high from the first run. Despite being slightly under-spec’d for the CAMC field, the car pulled off strong finishes, landing 3rd and 4th.
Day 2 – Time Trial: After a calm out lap, the first hot lap showed full grip, and the P1+ held up throughout the day. Both drivers posted consistent times, and the tires only showed a slight falloff later in the session. No issues—just predictable, steady grip from start to finish.
Wear: After 2 days and 2 drivers, wear was solid—especially given how hard 6th-gen Camaros are on front tires. The fronts showed expected wear, while the rears looked even better. Overall, a strong result.
Conclusion: The Vitour P1+ delivered great performance, especially with multiple drivers and warm ambient temps. Confident grip, solid wear, and consistent pace. A top-tier 200tw choice!
